Application Information
2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR APPLICATION

Applications submitted for the 2008-2009 school year are not carried over into the 2009-2010 school year.  You must reapply for the 2009-2010 school year after January 1, 2009.

Applications for the 2009-2010 school year is available online. Paper copies of the application are available at the school.

Here are the steps for new applicants to apply to Stars Middle School for the 2009-2010 school year.

New Uniform Store

Hellen's Uniform is no longer the uniform supplier of Stars Middle School. Our new supplier is Uniform Treasury. They are located at 3507 N. Monroe St. Unit D.  You may reach them by phone at 850-222-9020.

 
Student FCAT results

AG00004_Parents Please Note: The Department of Education is no longer making individual student FCAT results available via the FCAT Parent Network website. This year, the only way that parents can get their child’s FCAT results is to come to the school or wait for distribution of the hard-copy Student and Parent Report. Also Note: All student debt (student fees, meal fees, afterschool fees, book fees) must be paid to the school office before FCAT and promotion results are released to parents.

Smart Boards at SMS

Good news!

Stars Middle School will have Smart Boards install in all of its classrooms. We have started the technology integration with our math and science classes, and now we will have the other subject teachers start using the Smart Boards in their classes. Not only the teachers and students but also the parents will benefit from the smart boards.

Leon County Health Department hosting Free Immunization Clinics

j0297561Before entering seventh grade, students must have documentation of a tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis vaccine (Tdap) on file at school. This vaccination is typically given to students at 11 – 12 years of age.

If your child has not yet received the Tdap vaccine, please have your child immunized as soon as possible so needed immunizations are completed and necessary immunization documentation -- the Florida Certification of Immunization form (DH680) -- is returned to school before May 20, 2009.
